QeCAD - Your Quality As-Built Service Provider Across Australia!

QeCAD is a specialized BIM Company delivering practical, standards-based Building Information Modeling Services across New Zealand. We combine Revit-first production workflows, federated model coordination and asset-ready handovers with required LOD (100-500) so that the stakeholders and project teams can gain the accurate design intent, data-driven insights, clash-free construction models and an Asset Information Model (AIM) that supports the operations.

We align project workflows with the New Zealand BIM guidance and international information-management standards to reduce the risks and accelerate the construction processes.

From design visualization to construction management and facility operations, our Revit BIM Services ensures reduced risks, faster turnarounds and cost efficiency for projects of all scales.

BIM Consulting & Implementation

BEP — BIM Execution Plan (project BEP)

a project control document that defines roles, model responsibilities, data drops, naming conventions, LOD/LOI matrix, validation rules, coordination schedule and QA checks. QeCAD authors and enforces the BEP in line with ISO principles so the BEP becomes the operational manual for information management.

BIP — BIM Implementation Plan (org BIP)

an organizational roadmap for teams adopting BIM: software, templates, family libraries, CDE selection, training and governance—designed to scale across repeat projects.

EIR / AIR / PIR

tailored client exchange and asset information requirements that defines what information is needed at each exchange; QeCAD helps to draft EIR/AIR/PIR to prevent scope ambiguity.

BCF — BIM Collaboration Format

standardized, model-linked issue packages used to communicate clashes, markups and decisions between stakeholders. We integrate BCF as the primary issue-tracking mechanism to maintain traceability across tools.

Our BIM Services

We deliver parametric Revit models to agreed Level of Development (LOD), sectioned deliverables (plans, elevations, schedules), model classification and property sets, IFC export for openBIM exchange. Typical deliverables includes: RVT packages, federated IFC(s), model validation report, element schedules along with the LOD matrix. (We work to LOD 100–500 mapping per project EIR).

We produce discipline-specific Revit MEP models with system routing, service zones, connection metadata and fabrication-level detailing when required (LOD 350–400). Our deliverables includes coordinated RVT models, clash reports (Navisworks), MEP shop drawings and IFC for contractors/MEP fabricators.

Custom parametric families (voids, shared parameters, connectors, performance metadata) with naming standards, type catalogs and parameter mapping to facility-management fields (to support AIM / maintenance). Families are tested for performance, nested properly and delivered with documentation and QA checks.

At QeCAD, we specialize in converting scanned or point cloud data into intelligent BIM models to the required LOD that reflect the as-built condition of your project. Our workflow ensures precision and quality. We also help with QA and deviation report (comparative analysis between scan data and BIM output if need be). Our services are idle for renovations, refurbishments, seismic upgrades and facility management in New Zealand ensuring models are reliable, consistent and ready for downstream use.

We federate multi-discipline models; run rule-based clash detection along with the priority tagging; generate and manage issues via BCF for traceable, model-linked workflows. We also run iterative coordination sprints and maintain a coordination log that maps clashes to its owners and the status until the sign-off.

We deliver final AIM export packages (IFC + RVT + structured property sets), COBie or client CSV handover (if requested), maintenance schedules and an AIM acceptance report. We ensure that the metadata aligns to Asset Information Requirements so the Facility Management teams can onboard the model immediately.

Why choose QeCAD for Your BIM Projects?

Choosing QeCAD is a decision to adopt a disciplined, standards-based BIM delivery engine — not just a modelling shop. Here’s how we make a measurable difference:

01

Standards & Compliance First (ISO / NZ alignment)

We implement project information workflows aligned to ISO principles and the New Zealand BIM Handbook — including EIR/AIR drafting, BEP governance and CDE protocols — so that project teams can meet client and procurement expectations from day one. This reduces disputes and improves procurement clarity.

02

Practical Revit & Interoperability Expertise

Our team delivers robust Revit BIM Services and Revit Modeling Services with clean families, shared parameters and performance-tested templates. We manage IFC exports, enforce property sets and optimize models for both design and downstream construction workflows. This ensures that the models remain usable, light for federations and rich for analysis.

03

Coordination & Risk Reduction via Data-Driven Process

We run scheduled coordination sprints with automated clash detection, prioritized issue triage and BCF-backed issue management — so clashes are resolved before they cost time on site. The result: fewer RFIs, fewer site reworks and more predictable schedules.

04

CDE & Information Security

We set up and manage the Common Data Environment (project CDE) per ISO guidelines (file lifecycle, permissions, versioning and controlled exchange), giving stakeholders a single source of truth and auditable information flows.

05

Local Market Experience + Global Delivery Capability

While we adhere to the New Zealand procurement expectations and the NZ BIM Handbook, our teams also bring international best practices (multi-zone coordination, digital fabrication workflows and cloud-CDE management), bridging local regulatory needs and global efficiencies.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

  • What Level of Development (LOD) do you deliver in your BIM models?

We provide BIM models from LOD 100 to LOD 500, depending on project requirements. For design stages, we typically deliver LOD 200–300; for fabrication and construction, LOD 350–400; and for facility management or as-builts, LOD 500.

  • How much do BIM Services costs?

Costs vary by project size, required LOD, number of disciplines (architecture, MEP, structure), and deliverables. Typically, Point Cloud to BIM and As-Built BIM Services are priced per square meter or per model complexity.

  • What factors influence the pricing of BIM Services?

Pricing depends on scope (architectural vs. multi-discipline), LOD requirements, scan-to-BIM accuracy, and additional outputs like clash detection, COBie, or FM-ready data sets.

  • What types of projects can benefit from BIM Services in New Zealand?

BIM is valuable for residential, commercial, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and industrial projects. Our Revit BIM Services scale from small housing projects to large infrastructure and multi-story developments.

  • Why should I outsource BIM Services to QeCAD instead of building an in-house team?

Outsourcing to QeCAD means gaining immediate access to a specialized BIM Company with global experience, ready-to-use Revit libraries, advanced clash detection workflows, and proven project delivery. This saves huge in terms of time and overhead costs as well as ensures the consistent quality.
